GET TO KNOW YOUR COACH
I'm Jeannine
I’m a Certified Integrative Health & Nutrition Coach, recovering type-A perfectionist with an obsession for cooking and a passion for supporting busy women struggling with their health.
I don’t believe in diets; I believe building daily sustainable habits is the key to living well. But honestly, it’s been a journey to get here.
I too have struggled with the demands of balancing work and family alongside my health and wellness. For too long I suffered from “wonder woman” or “rushing woman’s” syndrome which left me depleted, irritable, bloated and inflamed. Can you relate?
About ME
How it All Started
Like a lot of women, my health and wellness journey began with a focus on weight loss. I struggled with weight and body image as a teen. I relied on calorie counting, carb restriction and overexercising to balance out bad habits. I was on the pill for YEARS to balance out hormonal acne which was likely covering up hormonal issues – issues which didn’t come to light until I had problems getting pregnant. Doctors told me I had “unexplained infertility”. If I only knew then what I knew now.
Fast forward five years and 2 healthy children later, I was severely sleep-deprived, intensely exercising and over-caffeinated. I was stressed trying to manage a career, baby, toddler and a clean home (sound familiar?) plus lose the last five pounds. My old habits of restricting carbs and intense cardio no longer worked – I felt and looked inflamed and couldn’t lose weight. I was exhausted and irritable.
I was doing all the right things – working out, eating clean. So why did I feel so terrible???
The first time I ever heard about “hormones” is when I went to the dermatologist with redness on my cheeks that seemingly appeared out of nowhere. I was floored when she diagnosed it as rosacea – why was this suddenly appearing in mid-life? She explained that it was likely due to my “shifting hormones.” What?!
I didn’t truly understand the impact of hormone health until I began my health coach training shortly thereafter with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York to become a certified health and wellness coach. I have always been passionate about health, but lightbulbs really went off for me once I started to learn about gut health, hormone health, inflammation, and how it’s all interconnected. I finally understood WHY I couldn’t lose weight…was inflamed…irritable…exhausted..loosing hair and WHAT I needed to do to heal.
My goal at Eat Beautifully is to share my knowledge with you so that no one else needs to struggle with these symptoms. Through my free online content, newsletter or nutrition programs, I’m here to help you feel more beautiful and balanced.

What is a health coach?
A health coach is trained to support individuals in making nutrition and lifestyle changes to improve their health. We don’t prescribe specific diets or nutrition plans. We work with our clients to explore areas of life which may be out of balance, set achievable goals, and work together through perceived barriers to achieve these goals. Set up a free 1:1 call to learn more.
What is your eating philosophy?
I work with clients to identify a diet which works for them – whether that’s omnivore, paleo, vegan, pegan, vegetarian etc. Regardless of your eating style, science has repeatedly shown that the power of plants is the foundation for helping us feel our best on the inside and look radiant on the outside. I believe eating natural, nutrient-rich foods is the key to lasting health.
What are your credentials?
I trained with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) which is the largest nutrition school in the world. IIN is an accredited, globally recognized health coach training program which is licensed by the New York State Education Department.
Should I see a health coach instead of a doctor?
No! Health coaches can work to support the recommendations of your doctor but do not replace recommendations made by a healthcare professional. If you are struggling with a specific health condition, I will work alongside your care team to help ensure you are following the recommended dietary and lifestyle modifications.
What types of issues can you help with?
As a health coach, I work with clients to keep them on the right path and in good health. Some examples of where I may be able to support you include (but are not limited to): weight loss, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, sports performance. Over the course of my training I learned about:
- How gut health impacts all aspects of our health
- The role of nutrition in inflammatory diseases
- The impact of women’s hormones on our health
- How stress and lack of sleep affect everything from our mental health to metabolism
- How to control blood glucose and the impact of sugar
- Why it’s important to take a holistic approach to health, paying attention to other factors like career and relationships
