Cinco de Mayo is really all about the margaritas, am I right? Tequila is definitely my happy drink and it has become my drink of choice over the past few years.
I’m not talking about taking shots of Cuervo Gold… I swear by drinking blanco, 100% agave tequila, which has low sugar content so it won’t leave you with a killer hangover (providing you are drinking responsibly…) Therefore, when I make a margarita I want to avoid putting a whole bunch of sugary ingredients which also adds calories. I’m obsessed with this spicy Grapefruit Margarita.
Its light and refreshing and you won’t find any syrupy add-ins. You can leave out the jalapeño if you REALLY can’t tolerate heat, but it provides a fun little kick.
So this Cinco de Mayo, ditch the sugary margarita mix and try this lower-calorie, refreshing recipe!
