Peach and Melon Fruit Salad

This is less a recipe and more inspiration for your next summer fruit plate. Who else tends to default to making fruit salads with berries? I wanted to think outside the berry box! Grab a few baskets overflowing with peaches at the farmer’s market and create a fruit plate or fruit salad with sweet summer stone fruits (yellow and white peaches, cherries), melon (watermelons, cantaloupe) and garnish with basil and mint. Serve with rosè of course! This is a perfect summer dessert!

Think outside the “berry box” with this summer fruit salad featuring in-season peaches, cherries and melons.

Ingredients

Scale 1x2x3x

• 2 white peaches
• 2 yellow peaches 
• 1/2 small watermelon
• 1/2 small cantaloupe 
• 1 cup of cherries (I used Ranier)
• basil and mint leaves for garnish

• Slice fruit and arrange on platter, or chop into pieces for a fruit salad
• Add garnish and serve cold
